I'm a nursing student, with one year left until I'm eligible to sit for my boards. Nursing is, without a doubt, the profession for me. For a long time I thought another path was the one I was meant for but now I realize those skills and those pursuits are meant to be a sideline, an enhancement of my nursing career, but not a central focus.
I'm so glad I decided to go back to school even though I'm now in my 30's and the vast majority of my adult life has been spent in school. But, as they say, the time passes anyways and I think it's worth it to go back to the drawing board to create the life you want to have instead of the one you only thought you wanted.
